K-130 Recommended Duration: 2 Days Benefits This course covers testing and test planning, as well as solution of program errors. Students will learn to use the CEDF online debugging facility to test programs and solve problems. In addition, students are shown how to use the CEMT, CEBR, CMAC, and CECI facilities to provide greater testing flexibility and control. Use of CICS transaction dumps is also covered. Audience Programmers who will code, maintain, and test CICS programs. Prerequisites Students should be familiar with CICS programming. Recommended Materials CICS Transaction Server for OS/390: SC33-1687 Application Programming Guide CICS/ESA Version 4: SC33-1169 Application Programming Guide This course is not available for licensing nor for RCT.

Exercises There are five machine exercises and two dump/trace reading exercises. Notes This course supports CICS Version 4. Course is available for CICS Version 2 or 3 also. An extra day may be added to this course to cover XPEDITER, Abend-Aid, or InterTest testing products.
