Benefits

Students who complete this course will be able to convert existing OS/VS COBOL programs to COBOL for OS/390 & VM or COBOL for MVS & VM (formerly COBOL/370), and develop new programs using the new features of the language. In addition, students will acquire facility with the new compiler itself.

 

Audience

Experienced COBOL programmers who are converting applications from an OS/VS COBOL environment to a new COBOL environment.

Prerequisites

The student should have experience coding COBOL programs and should be able to code JCL to run simple batch jobs.
