DB2 Version 5 to Version 7 Transition for Developers - Objectives

On successful completion of this course, the student, with the aid of the appropriate reference materials, should be able to:

1. Understand the features of DB2 that have changed from Version 5 to  Version 7, and how these
     features affect existing applications

2. Develop new applications that take advantage of the new features of Version 6 and Version 7

3. Utilize the SQL extensions provided in Version 6 and Version 7

4. Understand and use the new mechanisms for stored procedures

5. Understand and use triggers

6. Understand the Version 7 facilities in DB2 that support XML.
