DB2 Native SQL Stored Procedures - Course Objectives

On successful completion of this course, the student, with the aid of the appropriate reference materials, should be able to:

  1. Understand the syntax of the SQL procedure language.

  2. Design and code native SQL stored procedures.

  3. Understand the options of the CREATE PROCEDURE, ALTER PROCEDURE, and DROP PROCEDURE statements for native SQL stored procedures.

  4. Use conditions, handlers, and compound statements in native SQL stored procedures.

  5. Use versioning in the creation and maintenance of native SQL stored procedures.

  6. Understand and use the commands associated with maintaining native SQL stored procedures.
