Courses we teach: IMS
IMS DB Programming Techniques - 5 days
IMS Teleprocessing Techniques - 2 days
IMS Advanced Programming Techniques - 1 day
IMS (Information Management System) is one of the most used transaction processing systems for the IBM Mainframe environment. It provides facilities for developing on-line application programs that communicate between end users and business data bases.
IMS includes facilities for accessing DB2 data bases, IMS data bases, and VSAM files, as well as other data repositories. Its strongest features include the ability to support a large number of users while consuming a modest amount of system resources.
Our IMS application programming courses focus on the creation, implementation, and maintenance process for modern IMS systems.
IMS - DB Programming Techniques focuses on the DB (Data Base) side of IMS: the structure and design and implementation process as well as the capabilities and features of the IMS database.
IMS - Teleprocessing Techniques examines the DC (Data Communciations) component of IMS: the necessary I/O related components and programming needed to process transactions.
IMS - Advanced Programming Techniques extends both the DB and DC content to advanced capabilities.
Our IMS courses are not available for licensing nor for RCT.
