Recent work

As a trainer since 1982, and self-employed since 1989, John has been involved in many projects, including:

• Writing course materials to be used by other instructors in the business

• Providing training to both technical and marketing personnel from companies in the IS industry, such as Storage Technology Corp., and Oracle Corp.

• Helping companies like St. Paul Companies in St. Paul, Minnesota train entry-level programmers

• Making presentations at training and technical conferences, such as Oracle conferences in the US and Europe

• Teaching classes for companies such as American Express in Phoenix, AZ and other locations, Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek, CA and other locations, and Great West Life in Englewood, CO.

• John has primary course development responsibilities for courses in these areas:
  * Oracle
  * CICS
  * C, C++, JAVA
  * Client / server technologies .

1992-present: Denver

King Training Resources, founder, course developer, lead instructor.

1989-1992: Denver

Self-employed instructor working with The Trainer's Friend, Inc. developing courses, teaching, working at conferences.

1982-1992: Denver

CIBER, Inc.. Developed and taught courses in CICS, DB2, Oracle, and other topics, presenting classes to and consulting with organizations in banking, oil, transportation, and govenrnment.

1979-1982: Phoenix

CIBER, Inc.. Consultant, programmer, project leader for a variety of customers in diverse industries such as banking and wholesale.

1976-1979: Phoenix

State of Arizona. Programmer and analyst for Department of Revenue and Department of Transportaiton.
