Policies
Class size
We normally limit class size to 16 students. We will allow up to 8 additional students for a surcharge, if the course style and content allow it and the instructor permits it.
For some non-lab courses, we may allow more than 20 students. This must be pre-arranged.
For a consortium class, we have a minimum class size of 10.
Cancellation
If you cancel a scheduled class with less than three weeks before the start date, we will bill you 50% of the class price plus the cost of any non-refundable airfare the instructor may have purchased.
If you cancel with less than two weeks before the start date, we will bill you 75% of the class price plus the cost of any non-refundable airfare the instructor may have purchased.
If you cancel less than one week before the start date, we will bill you the full class price.
Student drop
If a student enrolled in a scheduled consortium class drops out with less than three weeks before the start date, we will bill you 50% of the class price unless we are able to fill the empty slot.
If a student enrolled in a scheduled consortium class drops out with less than two weeks before the start date, we will bill you 75% of the class price unless we are able to fill the empty slot.
If a student dropping out of a consortium class with less than one week before the start date, and we are unable to fill the empty slot, we will bill you for the full tuition.
Consortium classes - free seats
A consortium class is a class hosted by a customer who is willing to allow students from other companies to attend. This way, even if the host does not have enough students to justify a class just for them, they can still get the training.
The host company gets priority enrollments. However, there must be at least 10 students in a consortium class to hold the class. So there is a possibility that a scheduled consortium class could fall through.
Also, if no outside students attend, pricing will revert to the per-class rate.
On the other hand, if a consortium class does hold, and there are outside students, then the hosting company gets one free tuition.
The charge to the host company is figured as follows: we calculate the per-student rate and the per-class rate; then we take the smaller number and subtract the free tuition.
