Remote Contact Training - details

1. When you  want to use Remote Contact Training from The Trainer's Friend, Inc., you must first register the specific course(s) you want to be eligible for (you can add additional courses to your list any time)

This involves telling us the courses you want to register (see courses available for RCT for the list)

Also give us the name, phone number, fax number, and email address of the person in your organization who should be our technical liaison; we will fax, mail, or email setup instructions for the labs for each course, establishing a starting point of reference for the instructor(s) who might be assigned to students

2. When you want to enroll one or more students to be taking a course by RCT, give us each student's name, phone number, and email address

We also want the name, phone number, and email address of the person in your company who will receive copies of the instructor's evaluations for the student (this could be the student's manager, but it might be better if it's a mentor for the student)

3. Send us the tuitions for the students (we will go through the appropriate steps you need for billing and payment)

On receipt of the tuitions, we will express mail the student's materials along with the name, phone number, and email address of the instructor assigned to the student; the student is now enrolled

4. When the student is ready to begin taking the course, he or she contacts the instructor and they establish the initial patterns, such as

* the student's objectives in terms of time to complete the course (we suggest 2-times the classroom duration)

* best times to contact each other, and best ways to do so

* when the instructor should initiate contact with the student

5. As the student progresses through the course, he or she contacts the instructor when there are problems to overcome or questions to answer

Whenever a lab has been completed, the student will send the code, program, or JCL to the instructor

The instructor will examine and critique the student's work, and send the comments to the student

6.  When the last lab has been successfully completed, the instructor will request the student send in a completed course evaluation

The instructor will send the student a signed certificate of completion and notify the designated person that the student has successfully completed the course
