• Previous visits to Japan:
  • Lived in Japan from 1991-1994. Have returned regularly every year since. Last visit was March 2015 to visit colleges in Tokyo, Akita and Osaka for a future year abroad.

  • Conversation: Intermediate
  • Reading and writing: Intermediate

   

 

• Other connections to Japan:
  • Have psuedo family that we usually visit and stay with in Mie Prefecture. Also have friends and business contacts that we keep in touch with in Japan.

   

 

What I hope to get from this adventure:

Looking forward to seeing less traveled areas of Japans main island, more local and personal lodging, and some hot springs or Japanese style baths.
