  • Previous travel experience:
    • I have not yet traveled outside of the U.S, but I travel between my parents homes frequently! My Dad lives in West Virginia, and my mom lives here in Colorado. I fly alone all the time. Ive dealt with missed/delayed flights before. I think that when things accidentally go wrong, it makes the trip more interesting.

What I like about Japan / Japanese culture:

My favorite thing about Japanese culture is the language! I joined Japanese class because I was a huge anime fan. I still watch anime a lot, but I really love learning and speaking Japanese. Its become really important to me and something I am very proud of. I like to incorporate the Japanese that I learn into my artwork.

What I hope to get from this adventure:

From this adventure, I hope to get a new experience. It has always been my dream to go to Japan. I want to travel to many places, but Japan was the first place I wanted to go. I never felt ready to go in the previous years, but now that I'm a senior, I feel like I am mature enough to handle such a big trip! My life is about to get crazy after I graduate, and this is such a big opportunity for me, so I really want to go. I want to mark it off my bucket list, but really I want to experience it and enjoy every moment of it.
