Hakone as we see it
Hakone is an area near Mt. Fuji with a wide variety of attractions.
Hotel:
We will be staying at the Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en (on their website, drop down the Language menu item to see the English version. It looks like a terrific hotel. And they have indoor and outdoor hot springs (men and women separately).

Here is a list of suggested sites to see / things to do in Hakone. Feel free to suggest additions. When we are in Hakone, this will be our first source in deciding what we'd like to do next.
- Visit The Hakone Open Air Musuem - vibrant outdoor sculptures
- See the extensive collection of Japanese art, including medieval Japanese ceramics from the Jômon period (10.000B.C-200B.C?) through to the Edo period (1615-1867) housed in the Hakone Musuem of Art
- Take the Tozan Train , in order to pick up the Tozan Cable Car to the Hakone Ropeway (arial tramway) to get to the pirate ship sight seeing cruise
